Mee Mee Chai’s solo art exhibition offers a moment of quiet in a world that rarely pauses.
The Sound of Silence explores the space between sound and stillness—between solitude and connection. Each painting, with its soft colours and gentle animal forms, is a quiet meditation. A whisper. A prayer.
Here, silence is not emptiness. It is presence. It is where love breathes, peace settles, and hope quietly grows.
Inspired in part by the haunting beauty of the song, this work sees silence not as sorrow, but as strength. Wait with quiet dignity—offering calm and companionship in a noisy, overwhelmed world.
May these paintings invite you into stillness—not to escape, but to return more whole, more kind, and more awake.

Listen to the stories whispered from the heart of the artist, narrated through her art, and explore the worlds hidden within. During the pandemic, Mee Mee gave up a 15-year job, and the stress of working from home led to health issues. She decided to open her little box of secret moments and start painting again. Despite the challenges, her life has been fulfilling, and she cherishes no regrets. Inspired by her mother, who painted her first piece at the age of 82, Mee Mee is now continuing her mum's legacy of storytelling through art.
